Coyote Ugly - Picadilly, London
Bespoke joinery and furniture for Coyote Ugly’s new high profile site on Shaftsbury Avenue.
We are really pleased with this high-profile joinery and fit-out project for Coyote Ugly, right in the middle of theatre land on Shaftbury Avenue. Opening in May 2023 this project aimed to transform the ground floor of the old Trocadero Centre from a shell into a fully operational branded venue within a tight 12 week timeframe.
Project Summary
Karna’s team worked closely with Coyote to design and manufacture the bar, DJ booth, wall cladding, banquette seating, fitted furniture and all the metal work. Special attention was given to the reclaimed finish and incorporation of branding elements.
The bespoke 13m bar and DJ booth were crafted with reclaimed timber and metal facia, solid oak top and recessed LED lighting - specifically designed for dancing on! All of the back bar was designed to incorporate Coyote’s fitted equipment and branding. Over 70m2 bespoke reclaimed timber wall cladding was produced off site with solid timber finishing for the main contractor. We supplied and fitted bespoke booths and tables all matching Coyote’s brand design and incorporating branding elements. Metalwork, including scaffold pole features and bespoke metal infill panels were fabricated and fitted as per the industrial aesthetic of Coyote Ugly.
To optimise and reduce on-site time, a significant portion of the joinery items were manufactured off site and later installed at the venue. Our project manager worked along with the site project team to ensure seamless collaboration with the different stakeholders involved. Despite the challenges and tight timeline, Karna successfully delivered the project objectives and a high quality joinery package.
