One Central Square Cardiff
Complete transformation for a prestigious City Centre atrium.
One Central Square is one of Cardiff’s premier commercial properties, winning RICS commercial project of the year in 2017 - it was one of the first developments in Cardiff City’s transformation. The brief from the owner and the commercial agents, Knight Frank, was to update the reception and atrium which had become tired, dated and wasn’t user friendly.
Project Summary
We worked collaboratively with Momentum Contract Furniture, the interior designers, to come up with creative solutions that achieved the maximum impact without any structural works - making best use of the budget. Introducing natural materials and high impact designs the space now has a really contemporary and welcoming feel to visitors and users and better reflects it’s prime location.
We designed and fabricated full height wood cladding over both floors of the atrium that fitted over the existing glass walls. A bespoke reception desk, bespoke furniture and new signage completely transformed the space. We’re really proud that so much was achieved on a reasonable budget with the clever use of cladding and redesign.
