Beautiful fit out of a new Bakehouse in Bridgend
We had the pleasure of working with Beat Bakehouse, a new bakery and coffee house, to transform their first location on Station Hill in Bridgend. As a budding brand, they had a clear and powerful vision for their establishment.
The objective was to create a high-impact design that made creative use of the compact space to enhance the customer experience and attract footfall. The project involved a complete overhaul of the existing site, which was a dull and cramped office spread across two floors. Our team began by stripping out the space and refurbishing it before commencing with the fit-out.
The bespoke elements we designed had to be contemporary, functional, and meticulously finished to bring the customer's vision to life.
Project Summary
Karna coordinated the demo and refurbishment including striping out the whole of the front wall, replastering and making good throughout, M&E, new facilities, fitting terrazzo flooring, wall tiles and decoration.
We manufactured all the joinery items front of house including the counter, service point and front of house bar for customers. We produced all fitted items in black with a contrasting teak stained solid wood, which looks great against the terrazzo floor. Merchandising and shelving were made in a matching wood with industrial style metal work, and extra detailing was added around the stairs in matching timber to break up the space. We made a oversized single tier solid glass cake display to show off the Beat Bake Houses’ heros (best bakes ever!)
This was a really rewarding project, the end result is such a huge transformation and we’re really happy with the design and finish.
